People love to ask me, “How do you do it all?”
I’ve got a daughter. A clinic. A business. Sponsors. YouTube. Coaching. Oh — and I train like it’s my job… because it is.
But the truth is, I don’t “do it all.” I just do what I can, when I can — and I try to do it well.
So here’s what an average day looks like for me. No filters, no fluff.
6:15 AM — The Reset
I usually wake up around 6:15 without an alarm. First thing I do? I head out to the hot tub. Then I hit the pool. It’s my own version of hot/cold therapy — not as intense as a full plunge, but enough to shake off the cobwebs.
When my daughter gets up, it’s playtime. I head back in and hang out with her for a bit before the day kicks off.
Breakfast is simple:

Protein shake

Some cereal
-
Maybe a few eggs if I’m lucky
It’s quick, it’s easy, it gets the job done.
Morning — Deep Work Mode
After breakfast, I get into work mode. That could be:

Shooting a new YouTube video
-
Writing programs for athletes
-
Talking with sponsors
-
Creating content
-
Or planning the next Moose Coaching release
Most of that happens before noon. It’s my most focused time of day, and I try to guard it as much as I can.
Midday — Coaching the Coaches
Around lunchtime, I head to my clinic. I work with our clinic manager to:

Review business operations

Offer guidance on marketing
-
Troubleshoot tough client cases
It’s a kinesiology clinic that helps people dealing with chronic pain and injury — and it keeps me grounded. It reminds me why movement matters, not just for strength athletes, but for everyone.
Afternoon — Training & Pickup
After the clinic, it’s time to train. That’s 2+ hours of pushing my body — sometimes to the limit, sometimes just enough to move the needle forward. The structure depends on the season, but the routine never changes: I show up.

Once training is done, I pick up my daughter from daycare and head back home.
Evening — Wrap Up and Wind Down
Evenings are a mix of family and finishing touches:

Answering emails

Reviewing programs

Filming short-form content
Then I have dinner with my family, hop in the pool one more time, shower, and finally settle in with my wife to watch a movie or some reality TV. (Yes, I watch reality TV. And I love it.)
Sometimes I can’t help myself and I’ll write a few more programs before bed. But I’m getting better at switching off.
Then it’s lights out — and we do it all again tomorrow.
Final Thought
Balance isn’t about doing everything. It’s about doing the right things with the time and energy you’ve got.
