When you're trying to perform at the highest level, what you eat matters just as much as how you train. But more importantly — how often you can repeat that good eating matters even more. That's where my go-to meals come in: Monster Mash and the Creamsicle.
These aren’t just meals I enjoy. They’re tools. They’re part of a system I’ve built to fuel training, support recovery, and stay consistent without second-guessing every bite.
What’s in a Monster Mash?
It's simple:
-
Ground beef
-
White rice
-
Beef or chicken broth
That’s it. No fluff.
The broth is the secret. It makes the whole meal soft — easy to eat and easy to digest. I don’t need to chew a ton, and that actually matters more than you'd think. Chewing triggers hormones that tell your body you’re full. Less chewing = fewer of those signals = more food in.
If you’ve ever struggled to gain weight, you know what I mean when I say palate fatigue. Eating becomes exhausting. But the less your mouth has to work, the easier it is to get the job done.
Then Comes Dessert: The Creamsicle
This isn’t your typical dessert. It’s orange juice and plain Greek yogurt — mixed together. Sounds weird, tastes amazing.
More importantly, it’s got:
-
Fast-digesting carbs (OJ)
-
High-quality probiotics and protein (yogurt)
-
Calories that go down easy
Nutrition pros will tell you: The more yogurt you can handle, the better. If your gut can tolerate dairy, this combo is gold. It’s helped me avoid the gut issues I used to deal with, which means I can eat more consistently and feel good doing it.
It’s Not Just About Macros
Yes, the Monster Mash hits protein, carbs, and fat. Yes, the Creamsicle helps round out my calorie intake. But here’s the real benefit: habit.
I eat these two meals every day. That means:
- No decision fatigue
-
No wasted time wondering what to eat
-
No falling off track
It’s not about the “perfect” meal. It’s about repeating something that works. And for me, this works — twice a day, every day.
Want to Train Like I Do?
Fuel is one part of the equation. But if you want to get bigger, stronger, and move better without breaking down, your training has to match.
That’s exactly why I created these:
👉 Commercial Gym Strongman (For Those Just Starting Out)
👉 Powerlifting Foundations (For Those Looking For Bigger Lifts)
👉 Strong and Lean (For those looking to build strength and lose the fat)
Each one is built with the same structure I use — rooted in consistency, recovery, and real strength. Whether you're just starting out or already lifting big, there's a program ready for you.
You don’t have to overthink it. Find meals you love. Repeat them. Build habits. And train smart.
That’s the secret.
