The 2025 Arnold Strongman Classic has come to a close, and I'm proud to say that I’ve secured my third consecutive victory, joining the elite ranks of Hafthor Bjornsson, Zydrunas Savickas, and Brian Shaw as the only ones to achieve this incredible feat! Coming into this competition, I knew it would be tough. The lineup was stacked with heavy hitters like Lucas Hatton, Evan Singleton, and Tom Stoltman—each of them capable of pushing me to my limits. But after grinding through each event, I managed to stay ahead and come out on top.
The first event, the Elephant Bar Deadlift, was a test of raw power. My opening lift of 431 kg (950 lbs) felt smooth, and I knew I had more in the tank. I pulled 450 kg (992 lbs) on my second attempt, and though I didn't hit the 1000-pound mark, I could’ve easily pulled 1020–1030 on a perfect day. That deadlift was an absolute highlight for me, showing that I’m only getting stronger and pushing closer to that elusive 1000-pound raw pull!
From there, it was on to the overhead medley, which featured the Austrian oak log press. It’s no secret that my overhead press is a challenge, but I managed to push through, secure some solid reps, and conserve enough energy to keep my momentum going. The competition was fierce, with Lucas, Trey, and Thor all putting up solid numbers. I was tactical about my approach, opting for one rep on the log instead of risking multiple, and it paid off, as I maintained a lead going into the next event.
By the time we hit the frame carry and drag, I knew it was down to a two-man race between myself and Lucas. I had a slight edge going into the stone-to-shoulder, but I knew I needed to finish strong. With the 400-pound stone staring me down, I pushed my limits to get that single rep I needed to secure the win. It was grueling, but I managed to stay focused and get the job done. Three straight Arnold Strongman victories—I couldn't be more proud, and I’m only getting started!
Lift heavy, and be kind
